The 22 cm-wide Saljol Carbon Rollator Walker can be folded lengthwise with one hand and then stored compactly. The integrated tipping aids on both sides, located at the end of the frame level with the rear wheels, make it easy to overcome curbs. The wheels, which absorb shocks and vibrations particularly well, effectively smooth out uneven surfaces, such as cobblestones. Your wrists and shoulders will thank you.

The pronounced tread of the soft Super Soft All-Terrain tires provides more grip on gravel or grass when you use your Saljol Carbon Rollator Walker. Smooth in the center of the tread for high braking power and treaded at the edges for greater stability and lateral support on soft ground. They are dimensioned so that dirt does not get caught and carried inside. They leave a good impression, as the tread contains the floral elements of the SALJOL logo. Because soft, non-slip tires, like your car’s winter tires, wear more quickly, changing the tire is very easy and completely safe: simply loosen two screws.

With its 28 reflective points, the Saljol Rollator Walker is visible from every direction in traffic at night.

Elegant and harmoniously coordinated, with the carbon structure visible on the frame, the cognac-colored faux leather on the bag, and the antiallergenic, skin-friendly natural cork used for the shock-absorbing, ergonomically shaped handles. The cork handle also provides a good grip with wet hands. When muscle strength declines, the walker simply sits down on the soft carbon seat of the Rollator Walker. This gives you your own personal bench, perfect and always with you.

The one-hand-grip bag is made to a high standard and features a transparent compartment for your smartphone on the top of the lid, so you always have your navigation system within reach. The faux-leather flap closes with a magnet and can be operated with one hand, while the other rests securely on the Rollator Walker’s cork handle. On the sides, you will find nets for drinks or your newspaper. The inside of the bag is bright and equipped with three additional compartments for organizing and shopping. Gearshift: Walk safely downhill

For greater rolling resistance on the rear wheels!

The Carbon Rollator Walker comes standard with the foot-pedal gearshift. This means that you can set an individual rolling resistance using the drag brake. To do this, lightly press the red lever on the rear wheels with your foot or push it upward; this allows you to engage or disengage the rolling resistance. The gearshift on the rear wheels can therefore reduce walking speed.

Safe and useful on downhill routes or for neurological conditions in which the Saljol Carbon Rollator Walker risks being pushed forward. The gearshift is useful for all users whose Rollator Walker becomes too fast.

The simple operation is via two red foot pedals mounted on the right and left beside the rear wheel. Similar to an engine brake when going downhill and shifting down to the next lower gear, the gearshift brakes your carbon Rollator Walker at both rear wheels. It takes over part of the steering and helps you travel safely downhill.

When going uphill, the low weight and gearshift provide the user with secure support. Like a hill-start assist in modern cars, it prevents rolling backward.

In rainy and wet weather, the brakes tend to "slip"! The SALJOL Rollator Walker gearshift works regardless of the weather and provides an additional safety brake, for example in wet conditions.

Rollator Walker tires

Carbon Rollator Walkers have special tires that come very close to the comfort of air tires while still being puncture-proof. They absorb impacts rather than transferring them directly to the hands. This results in less muscle soreness in the upper limbs. Special cork push handles also prevent this transfer and provide additional relief.

Pushing and supporting yourself

Are your handles at wrist height? Do your elbows pull slightly backward when pushing? When pushing and leaning for support, it is important to set the Carbon Rollator Walker as upright as possible by adjusting the cork handles to the correct height. If it “wobbles” or you feel slightly dizzy, you can support yourself on the push handles. The Rollator Walker can support up to 150 kg, and the non-slip handles provide a secure grip even for anxious Rollator Walker users.

Different paths and roads

The Saljol Carbon Rollator Walker is suitable for daily use indoors and outdoors. Thanks to its two-layer rubber coating, it runs significantly more quietly on asphalt than its relatives. On unpaved paths, its soft tires absorb shocks as efficiently as air tires.

In rain and wet conditions, brakes can easily “slip”! The Saljol gear system works regardless of the weather and provides an additional safety brake, for example in wet conditions.

Sitting and resting

“Grandpa’s” valid excuses for avoiding the “longer walk” would now be a thing of the past. The soft wheels absorb the bumps on the unpopular uneven path, while the cork handle provides a good grip even with wet hands. And when muscle strength begins to fade, the walker can simply take a seat on the soft Rollator Walker seat. This makes your personal park bench perfect and always available.

For an elevated seating position and greater safety, Saljol recommends the adjustable, comfortable back strap.

Shopping

A sensibly and safely equipped Rollator Walker can provide the necessary independence and motivation to walk when doing the weekly grocery shopping—often THE place for social interaction.

Going downhill

Imagine the following situation: You have impaired mobility. You are walking down a sloping ramp with a full shopping basket in your Rollator Walker! At the beginning of the ramp, you apply the brake, but have to release it again and again... the Rollator Walker pulls you downhill....

The Saljol gear system helps defuse the situation! Similar to engine braking when driving downhill and shifting into a lower gear, the gear system brakes the carbon Rollator Walker at both rear wheels. In a sense, it takes on part of the load from the Rollator Walker and helps you travel safely downhill.

Going uphill

When going uphill, the driver is optimally supported by the low weight of just 5.6 kg and the innovative drag brake. The drag brake ensures that the Rollator Walker remains easy to control at all times, even on steep inclines.

The so-called “gear system” is not a traditional bicycle-style gear system, but rather a mechanism that regulates the drag brake. It allows the braking force to be adjusted individually so that the Rollator Walker remains safe and stable. Similar to hill-start assist in modern cars, this function prevents the Rollator Walker from rolling backward when stopping or moving forward slowly. This provides users with not only a high level of safety, but also comfort and reliability.

Overcoming curbs and thresholds

To minimize the risk and make it easier to overcome curbs and thresholds, Saljol has integrated extra-flat tipping aids on the rear wheels that are ergonomically accessible with the feet. The distance the foot has to travel is minimal, making it safer than with conventional Rollator Walkers. Public transportation

Rollator Walkers are permitted on public transportation. However, the Rollator Walker must not be used as a seat on the bus. We recommend parking the carbon Rollator Walker in the bus’s multifunctional area with the parking brake engaged and finding a seat facing opposite the direction of travel.

Tip! With a folded width of just 22 cm, it does not take up much space and can also be parked next to you.

By the way: The safest way to get off is backward, with one hand on the bus and the other on the Rollator Walker.

Parking and loading

Simply press down the two easy-to-operate brake handles on the left and right of the handlebar. The Rollator Walker will remain securely in place.

For transporting it in a car, Saljol recommends folding the carbon-fiber Rollator Walker to a width of 22 cm. This way, it fits even in the smallest trunk.

Travel

The compact folded size of the Saljol Carbon Rollator Walker makes it ideal for travel. It is quick to assemble and stow away. When traveling by car, please make sure to secure the Rollator Walker properly and do not stack any heavy objects on the carbon frame.

Tip! Inform the airline that you are bringing your Rollator Walker. Most airlines transport your Rollator Walker free of charge.

At home

93% of older people live in their own homes. The house or apartment is often very cramped. The Rollator Walker has to be maneuvered in very tight spaces. What is the statutory warranty?

If the purchased item has a defect, the statutory provisions on liability for defects apply. Please contact Gorilla Gesund immediately; we will then handle communication with the manufacturer, Saljol.

Obvious defects must be reported in writing within ten days of delivery, and hidden defects within ten days of their discovery. The aforementioned periods are exclusion periods.

Saljol is entitled to decide whether any defect should be remedied through repair or replacement delivery ("subsequent performance").
