The PARI BOY Junior is the successor to the Pari Junior Boy SX

The Junior is specially made for the smallest and youngest patients. With the red nozzle, babies can inhale from their first month of life. It produces particularly small droplets that can penetrate into a baby's very small lung ducts. To make inhaling easier for the little ones, the baby mask and the baby angle are included.

The yellow nozzle included in the delivery produces an aerosol with slightly larger diameters. Because the droplets are still very small, it would be better to say “slightly smaller diameters” here. The yellow nozzle should be used when inhaling by young children.

The few parts are assembled quickly and the instructions leave no questions unanswered.

And what happens when the children outgrow toddlerhood? No problem, get an LC Sprint nebulizer instead of the included LC Sprint Junior nebulizer, then the Junior model can be used by young (from 4 years) to old.

The PARI BOY Junior is tailored to the requirements that may arise when babies or small children are required to inhale.

The compressor's high pressure of 1.6 bar means that inhalation times can be kept short. The product developers at PARI have managed to make the compressor around 20% quieter compared to its predecessor. A high pressure speaks against quiet operation of the compressor. PARI has mastered these two opposing goals with a good solution that relies on effective noise reduction and is therefore 20% quieter than its predecessor, the Junior BOY SX.

When babies and small children are supposed to inhale, volume is an important criterion. A loud compressor can increase anxiety and noise can cause stress and prevent relaxation. This means that the volume can also have an impact on breathing and thus directly on inhalation.

A red and a yellow nozzle is included to match the LC Sprint Junior nebulizer. The red nozzle is intended for babies. It produces particularly small droplets for babies' small airways. The yellow nozzle can be used for small children. The droplets it produces are a little larger, so they reach the lungs of children up to three years old and inhalation is a little quicker.

Between 2 and 8 milliliters fit into the nebulizer. The particle size (MMAD) for the red nozzle is 2.8 µm. The respirable fraction or the lung-permeable fraction is almost 80%. This portion has a diameter of less than 5 µm. 30 percent of the aerosol is less than 2 µm in diameter. Almost 50% are between 2 µm and 5 µm. And 20% of the aerosol is more than 5 µm in diameter.

For the yellow nozzle, the particle size (MMAD) is 3.1 µm. The respirable fraction or the lung-permeable fraction is almost 73%. 30 percent of the aerosol is less than 2 µm in diameter. Almost 44% are between 2 µm and 5 µm. And 26% of the aerosol is more than 5 µm in diameter.

The focus of treatment for young patients is on acute and chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma, acute or chronic bronchitis.

Optimal breathing technique is important for successful inhalation, which on the one hand can achieve relief from symptoms of illness by moistening the airways and on the other hand can bring medication into the airways. Breathing too quickly and a high speed of air in the airways do not lead to an optimal inhalation result. The correct breathing technique is difficult to teach babies and small children. Parents don't have to worry about the PARI BOY Junior. The inhaler supports the child in breathing correctly through an integrated training tool. This tool, called PIF Control, helps you learn the correct inhalation technique by limiting the inhalation flow.
