The PARI BOY Junior is the successor of the Pari Junior Boy SX.

The Junior is specially designed for the smallest and youngest patients. With the red nozzle, even babies from the first month of life can inhale. It produces particularly small droplets that can penetrate the very small lung passages of a baby. To make inhalation easier for the little ones, the baby mask and the baby angle are included.

The included yellow nozzle also produces an aerosol with slightly larger diameters. Because the droplets are still very small, it would be better to say "somewhat less small diameters" here. The yellow nozzle should be used when young children are inhaling.

The few parts are quickly assembled and the instructions leave no questions unanswered.

'And what if the children outgrow toddler age? No problem, get an LC Sprint nebulizer instead of the included LC Sprint Junior nebulizer, then the Junior model from Jung can be used from age 4 to old age.'

The PARI BOY Junior is tailored to the requirements that may arise when babies or toddlers need to inhale.

Due to the high pressure of the compressor at 1.6 Bar, the inhalation times can be kept short. The product developers at PARI have managed to make the compressor about 20% quieter compared to its predecessor. A high pressure is contrary to a quiet operation of the compressor. PARI has mastered these two opposing goals with a good solution that relies on effective noise reduction, making it 20% quieter than the predecessor, the Junior BOY SX.

"When babies and toddlers need to inhale, the volume is an important criterion. A loud compressor can stir up fears, and noise can trigger stress and prevent relaxation. This means that the volume can also affect breathing and thus directly impact inhalation."

A red and a yellow nozzle are included with the LC Sprint Junior nebulizer. The red nozzle is intended for babies. It produces particularly small droplets for the small airways of babies. For toddlers, the yellow nozzle can be used. The droplets it produces are a bit larger, allowing them to reach the lungs of children up to three years old, and inhalation is a bit faster.

The nebulizer can hold between 2 and 8 milliliters. The particle size (MMAD) for the red nozzle is 2.8 µm. The respirable fraction or the lung-available fraction is nearly 80%. This portion has a diameter of less than 5 µm. 30 percent of the aerosol has a diameter of less than 2 µm. Almost 50% are between 2 µm and 5 µm. And 20% of the aerosol has a diameter of more than 5 µm.

For the yellow nozzle, the particle size (MMAD) is 3.1 µm. The respirable fraction or the lung-available fraction is nearly 73%. 30 percent of the aerosol has a diameter of less than 2 µm. Between 2 µm and 5 µm, there are almost 44%. And 26% of the aerosol has a diameter of more than 5 µm.

The focus of treatment for the young patients is on acute and chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma, acute or chronic bronchitis.

For a successful inhalation, which can provide relief from disease symptoms by moistening the airways on one hand and delivering medication to the airways on the other, an optimal breathing technique is important. Breathing too quickly and a high speed of air in the airways do not lead to an optimal inhalation result. It is difficult to teach the correct breathing technique to babies and toddlers. Here, parents need not worry with the PARI BOY Junior. The inhaler supports the child in breathing correctly through an integrated training tool. This tool, called PIF-Control, assists in learning the correct inhalation technique by limiting the inhalation flow.

Thanks to PIF-Control, parents don't have to worry about whether the child is inhaling correctly and whether the droplets actually reach the areas where they are supposed to work.
