"In chronic diseases of the lower respiratory tract, there is an increased production of bronchial mucus. Shortness of breath, chronic cough, and frequent respiratory infections are among the consequences."

The respiratory therapy device RC-Cornet® PLUS counteracts this: It generates an oscillating positive expiratory pressure (OPEP) during exhalation, expands the airways and reduces shortness of breath. Additionally, it effectively loosens bronchial mucus and thus reduces coughing. During use, all exhaled air is utilized to clean the airways.

The respiratory therapy with the RC-Cornet® PLUS leads to a noticeable improvement in the symptoms of patients with these chronic lower respiratory tract diseases after a short, regular application period:

The RC-Cornet® PLUS is an advancement of the RC Cornet®. It features many innovative elements that simplify its use in everyday life.

Modern design and innovative features characterize the RC-Cornet® PLUS:

• The adjustment of two treatment forms and 4 different resistances each allows for a highly individual therapy - regardless of the level of exhalation performance.
• The new inhalation valve allows inhalation and exhalation through the device without interruption.
• The integrated nebulizer connection allows for respiratory therapy and inhalation therapy to be performed simultaneously (combination therapy), which improves medication deposition and shortens the duration of therapy.

Widen airways and relieve shortness of breath

In setting 1 of the RC-Cornet® PLUS, a steady exhalation pressure with vibrations is generated during exhalation ("stabilizing OPEP"). Narrowings are opened, thereby re-ventilating parts of the alveoli. This reduces shortness of breath!

Secret solution for persistently congested bronchi

In setting 2 of the RC-Cornet® PLUS, a slowly increasing pressure is built up during exhalation, which then drops sharply ("mobilizing OPEP"). This loosens and liquefies thick and tenacious secretions from the bronchial walls. The mucus is then transported upwards, towards the mouth, and can be more easily coughed up.

Prevent exacerbations and reduce susceptibility to infections

By widening the airways and loosening persistent bronchial mucus, the cough becomes "productive" (secretory) and can fulfill its cleansing function again. As a result, the cough reflex is alleviated and the risk of respiratory infections and frequent hospitalizations is reduced.
